Ghosts of the Sea Awaken on the SS Shieldhall this Halloween
This Halloween, Southampton’s historic steamship, SS Shieldhall, drops anchor in the supernatural as the Sarah Siddons Fan Club takes audiences on a voyage through the city’s darkest maritime tales.
Audiences are invited aboard for Halloween on the SS Shieldhall, a night of spine-tingling performances where history comes back to life—sometimes with a groan. Expect bloodcurdling accounts of murder on the high seas, pirate raids, shipwrecks—and even the eerie cries of a drowning nun (don’t worry, she’s used to it by now). Against the atmospheric backdrop of the steamship itself, the past stirs in terrifying, and occasionally tongue-in-cheek, detail.
Performances take place on:
- Friday 31st October – 7pm to 9pm
- Saturday 1st November – 5pm to 8pm
Shows depart every 15 minutes on both nights and lasts around an hour.
