The Fan Club are celebrating the 350 anniversary of the birth of the world famous local hymnwriter and all round polymath Isaac Watts.
Join us as we bring to life the lift and times of Isaac Watts who wrote the hymns ‘Our God, Our Help in Ages Past, Our Hope for Years to Come’ (which is played 4 times a day on the Civic Centre Clock Tower), ‘When I Survey the Wondrous Cross and ‘Joy to the World’ plus many many more.
As well as hymns, he also wrote books on geography, astronomy, philosophy and logic.
Our theatrical walk is taking place on Tuesday 2nd-Thursday 4th July at 7.15pm starting from God’s House Tower in Winkle Street.
The show lasts 90 minutes and will finish at the Bargate.
